Floor Monitor
The X15 loudspeaker integrates all the necessary technology to achieve exceptional reproduction as wedge speaker on stage. The cabinet has been carefully tuned allowing sealed operation, step down operation or high efficiency mode. This flexibility is achieved by not removing the four reflex covers (sealed operation), removing two of the four reflex covers (step down mode) or by removing all the 4 reflex covers. The sealed configuration allows excellent transient response, usually a weak point in a typical floor monitor. Each of the four ports is sealed with a wooden element fixed with 3 x M6 screws.
The X15 use a 3,5 inch voice coil on the LF driver resulting in an unusual mid frequency linearity and a very high half space efficiency (6,5%). Also the HF section includes an uncommon 63mm TI dome that eliminates harsh high frequency response typical in 76 or 100mm domes while extents its MF potential down to 700Hz. The LF section and HF section match perfectly together due to a large HF polyurethane horn. Most competitors rely on LF cone geometries acting as a "horn", resulting in very critical mid-high frequency behaviour.
The maximum sound pressure the system can achieve is 128dB @1 meter in half space conditions within the mentioned frequency extension. The X15 provides carrying handles a pole mount adapter, Speakon® NL4MPR connectors for input and loop trough. The front side of the box is protected with a perforated aluminium plate covered with a polyurethane foam. The X15 can be ordered black or completely white, including the front foam.
