The DR3115 has been designed as a high performance loudspeaker with compact dimensions. The system includes one high efficiency 15" woofer tuned by a band pass cabinet, one 8" ND high efficiency driver coupled to a closed box and a Tractrix horn coupled to a high power high frequency ND driver with annular diaphragm.
The cabinet has been designed especially for portable applications where high power reproduction as well as excellent sound quality are imperative factors. The DR3115 is a true full range speaker that does not require any subwoofer.
Particular care has been dedicated to group delay of the various components used. Also in the low mid area, where the 15" driver's energy crosses the 8" radiation the speaker exhibits a particularly stable acoustical phase.
The maximum sound pressure the system can achieve is 125dB @1 meter in half space conditions within the mentioned frequency extension (131dB peak SPL). The system weights 26.2 Kg, and is available with custom mounting options for both rigging and dual NL4 recessed connectors.
Remarkably compact the DR3115 is just 60cm tall, 49,5cm wide and 43,6cm deep.
