The DR3118 has been designed as a high performance loudspeaker with compact dimensions. The system includes one high efficiency 18" woofer tuned by a band pass cabinet, one 10" ND high efficiency driver coupled to a closed box and a Tractrix horn coupled to a high power high frequency ND driver with annular diaphragm.
The cabinet has been designed especially for portable applications where high power reproduction as well as excellent sound quality are imperative factors. The DR3118 is a true full range speaker that does not require any subwoofer.
Particular care has been dedicated to group delay of the various components used. Also in the low mid area, where the 18" driver's energy crosses the 10" radiation the speaker exhibits a particularly stable acoustical phase.
The maximum sound pressure the system can achieve is 127dB @1 meter in half space conditions within the mentioned frequency extension (134dB peak SPL). The system weights 33.7 Kg, and is available with custom mounting options for both rigging and dual NL4 recessed connectors.
Remarkably compact the DR3118 is just 70cm tall, 55,6cm wide and 53cm deep.
