The V2 is a speaker that has been introduced due to the growing demand of a loudspeaker that wears line array technology within the high frequency domain and delivers remarkable pressure in the LF domain. The speaker has been developed with the contractors in mind as well as the rental companies.
Combining a suspending system that can be used in the horizontal plane as well as the vertical plane the speaker offers excellent performance in both positions. In the horizontal plane a custom designed Aluminium device allows tight, side by side placement of the speakers enabling complex wave guides to couple together in a constructive way. Each speaker has 40° horizontal coverage, rows of 3 speakers achieve 120° coverage without any phase rotation (typical in well engineered line array concepts).
By rotating the speaker(s) by 90° this performance can be obtained in the vertical plane.
The V2 is not the first speaker with this technical approach, but it is the first that can be used as a stand alone speaker serving areas of remarkable size. It virtually replaces a horn loaded speaker with 2 times it's weight.
The V2 is best used with our subwoofers since it is designed to perform from 90Hz up to 19'500Hz.
