The V221 has an operating frequency range of 30 Hz to 150 Hz with a maximum peak output of 146 dB. It's a rugged, lightweight centrally horn charged enclosure housing two 21" ND woofers. These advanced components, each fitted with 6 inch voice coils, provide very high power-to-weight ratio in a new LF driver class.
The cabinet consists mainly of two different volumes with different charging techniques. The back sides of the two drivers are tuned by a reflex tunnel, while the front area of the diaphragms is charged by a horn that extends the frequency response up to 150 Hz. The carefully designed concept can stand all the electrical power the V221 is stated avoiding any bottoming effect. The system is rated 2000 Watts on a 4 Ohm load and shall deliver 107dB with one watt input @ one meter in half space conditions, 138 dB continuous and 146dB peak SPL.
The V221 is constructed of 18 mm Finnish birch, pressed and glued together for maximum strength and finely finished in black textured paint. The cabinet is 90 cm deep, 90 cm tall and 60 cm wide. Extensive internal bracing guarantees long term stability even in the most demanding conditions. Eight handles allow easy transportation. Recessed wheels make transportation easier if the system will be used in a mobile reinforcement context.
